Education and Background

Ryan is a proud “Double Dawg” graduate from the University of Washington, where he received both his B.A. in History and Political Science and his J.D. Before joining the firm, Ryan served for six years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington where he represented the Departments of Labor and Industries, Employment Security, and Licensing. Additionally, he served as a counselor for public colleges and state educational entities, where he advised and litigated on issues involving personnel, contracts, privacy, and compliance with federal laws and regulations.

Ryan completed law school, graduating from the University of Washington with honors. Ryan served on the Student Bar Association and as a pro-bono student attorney for the UW Immigration clinic, where he advised and advocated for clients and argued in federal immigration court. Ryan’s efforts were recognized by the Clinical Legal Education Association’s Outstanding Student Award for the 2017-2018 academic year.
